 Dear Parents

 APPOINTMENT OF PRINCIPAL

 Further to our communication of 9 February 2010, the Governing Body wishes to update you on the above process.

 The Department of Education has now published a Bulletin, in which the vacant principal’s post is advertised.  The closing date for applications is 7 June 2010, and the new principal will be expected to assume duty on 1 August 2010.  The Bulletin has been published as a closed Bulletin which means only Educators in the employ of the Eastern Cape Education Department may apply.  We understand that both FEDSAS and the Governing Body Foundation are discussing this matter with the Department of Education. The Governing Body is keeping a close eye on the matter, and will communicate with you in due course.

 In the mean time we have established a Selection and Interviewing committee, which is making the necessary preparations for the process to be followed.  We are also making use of a consultant to assist and advise us, in order to ensure only the best for our school and will keep you informed on the progress.
