Grade 8 Girls in Grade 8 are eligible for the award of Academic Badge if they meet either of the following criterion: An aggregate of 850 or more in the June / December examinations in the
The badge will be awarded in an assembly following the June examinations. Badges are worn for 2 terms and returned at the end of the year.
Grade 9 Girls in Grade 9 who have qualified for an Academic Badge on the final Gr 8 results will be awarded the badge in an assembly at the beginning of the year, and will wear it until the end of the 2nd term. Grade 10 Girls in Grade 10 who have qualified for an Academic Badge the final Grade 9 results will be awarded a scroll at the first House Day of the year.
Grade 10 and Grade 11 Girls qualify for academic awards based on the following criteria. The aggregate will be calculated on the core subjects plus the three highest optional subjects: 3150 - 3359 = Scroll 3360 - 3569 = Silver Bar 3570 and over = Blazer Re-qualification for blazer = Ivy leaves
The aggregate is to be calculated as follows: Term 1 = 700 x 1 = 700 Term 2 = 700 x 2 = 1400 Term 3 = 700 x 1 = 700 Term 4 = 700 x 2 = 1400 4200 Girls who meet the above criteria will receive their academic awards at the first House Day of the following year.
