Participation in Competitions

Olympiads

Many of our learners enter annual Olympiads in various subjects such as English, Afrikaans, Mathematics ( AMEESA and Harmony), Mathematical Literacy, Accounting and Science. Some of our girls do exceptionally well in these examinations. The girls' achievements are listed under the results tab.

Quizzes

Three Grade 12  pupils who have performed well in Science and Mathematics are selected to take part in the annual MINQUIZ organised by MINTEK.

Science Expo

Each year Collegiate sees a number of our girls earning gold, silver or bronze medals. We usually have two or three girls who are invited to attend the National Science Expo in September each year.

Eisteddfod

Our Music department enters girls in various categories in the Eisteddfods. Their results are often outstanding. Some of our girls also did well in the 2010 Afrikaans Kunstefees.

SACEE

Each September all Grade 8 – 11 pupils write the SACEE examination, with our girls frequently achieving a top place in their grade.
