Service Awards

GENERAL - SERVICE

SERVICE awards are split into THREE categories:
1) Service to the School
2) Service to Tutoring
3) Service to Sport

COMBINED SERVICE

NOTE:   Once a pupil has been awarded a service to the school scroll in one area (eg library) she will not be awarded a second scroll for another area (eg tuckshop), but it will be recorded that she has earned a second scroll for this area. Once she qualifies for a silver bar in either of the areas, she will be awarded a silver bar. Only once she has qualified for second silver bar for ANOTHER TYPE OF SERVICE (eg tutoring or sport), will she be eligible to be awarded a Blazer, BUT only if the service rendered is deemed to have been exceptional with generosity of spirit  AND only if the pupil is in Grade 12. However, should a pupil qualify for a Blazer at the end of her Grade 11 year, this will be awarded at the first House Day of her Grade 12 year.

A Blazer and an Ivy Leaf (re-award of a blazer) is only for exceptional service rendered over two or more service areas (school, tutoring, sport) from any of the above.
