·           Two qualifying times in any event and participation at the Regional level 3 gala.

Silver Bar

·           Two qualifying times and participation at Age Nationals/ Junior Age Nationals.

Blazer

·         Two qualifying times in any event and participation at the SA Youth or Senior Nationals. 

 

Requalification for a Blazer in a second season will be a re-award signified by Ivy Leaves.

Note:
Qualifying times referred to above, relate only to the year under review and not to any prior year achievements and times.

 

OPEN WATER SWIMMING

The school awards criteria for Open Water includes all of the following (each criteria below must be attained):

1.  Swim the qualifiying time for EP Open Water swimming at two official EPA events

2.  Finish the Championships in a top ten position in age group (14-18).  Means swimmer will be within top 10 open water swimmers in this age-group and most probably all open water women.

3.  Be chosen to represent EP at the Open water National Champs and actually compete at Open water national Champs

4. Swim at least three other officially sanctioned open water swimming events – like the River Mile and Ocean Racing Series - times and positions of which are officially recorded.

5.  Place within top five (female) positions in at least three of the events mentioned in point

  • Achieve ALL criteria for 2 years

3.

Blazer

  • Achieve ALL criteria for 3 years
    OR
  • Achieve a top 3 placing at Open Water National Champs in age-group (14-18) or be chosen to represent SA in Open Water swimming.

 

Requalification for a Blazer in a second season will be a re-award signified by Ivy Leaves.
