Pupils are eligible for these awards only if they take Dance Studies as a subject at school. (Dance is not offered as an extra-curricular activity at school but only as an extra-curricular 8^th subject).

EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS

a)      DANCE SCROLL will be awarded for:

Modern: Honours with distinction for Preliminary Modern examination (pre-grade to a major) OR Highly commended for a major examination.

RAD:  Distinction for an Intermediate Examination

Cecchetti: Pass for an Intermediate Examination

Runner-up Senior Champion in any discipline.

b)      DANCE BAR will be awarded for:

Modern:  Honours in a Major Examination (E, I, A)

RAD: Pass Advanced 1 Examination
Cecchetti: Merit in an Intermediate Examination

Senior Champion winner in any dance discipline

c)       DANCE BLAZER will be awarded for:

Modern: Honours with Distinction for Major Examination (E, I, A)

RAD: Distinction in Advanced 1 Exam

Cecchetti: Distinction in an Intermediate Examination

Senior Champion for two years (not necessarily consecutive) in any disicipline(s)

d)      RE-AWARD – DANCE BLAZER (Ivy Leaf)

Any further dance achievements of an equivalent standard or higher.
