School Executive visited Old Girl Millicent Mary Ben Armitage, née Pike
While attending the South African Girls' Schools Conference in Makhanda, the School Executive visited Old Girl Millicent Mary Ben Armitage, née Pike (age 98). Millicent attended Collegiate Girls' High School from 1939-1944. She was a boarder, Head of St Michael’s House, a prefect and played 1st team hockey. Her great-granddaughter is in Grade 7 at Collegiate Junior School for Girls. Millicent remembered Miss Brock who taught her how to be a lady and how to speak well. She said that she believed in living a full life so that you die while living fully and that you cannot live without love and God.
