March and April marked a busy and rewarding transition period at Collegiate, as we moved from the close of summer sport into the full momentum of our winter programme. These months reflected the richness of a holistic education, with learners fully engaged across academic, cultural, sporting, service and leadership spheres. As one season concluded with celebration and gratitude, another began with energy and opportunity, allowing our girls to grow through challenge, teamwork and creativity. As the saying reminds us, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire,” and these weeks have seen our learners actively igniting their talents, compassion and commitment in many different ways.

OCGG SENIORS' TEA
The OCGG Seniors' Tea is an annual celebration of memories old and new. A special highlight was the presence of Mrs Thelma Beveridge from the Class of 1947 whose legacy and grace reminded everyone of the enduring spirit of the College. With more than 70 Old Girls joining the gathering, the event was one of the most warmly supported moments on the OCGG calendar. It was a testament to the lasting bonds formed at a school of excellence, where friendships flourish long after the final school bell rings.
“Reunions remind us that no matter how far we roam, the moments and people who shaped us remain close to the heart.”

Newsletter of 28 February 2026
As February draws to a close, we reflect on a month filled with passion, perseverance, and pride—fitting for the Month of Love. Across every arena, our Collegiate girls have demonstrated not only exceptional talent but also a remarkable love for their school, their sports, their academics, and their community.
From outstanding victories at the Eastern Cape Lifesaving Championships to record‑breaking performances in Aquatics and spirited displays in Water Polo, our athletes have worn the Collegiate colours with honour. Our cultural and academic stars shone just as brightly—whether preparing to take to the stage in preparation for Bring It On, excelling in Trinity Music examinations, or impressing audiences and adjudicators at the Trilingual Speech Competition. Our rowing team made waves at the Buffalo Regatta, and our tennis and cricket teams played with determination and heart.
February also reminded us of the deeper connections that bind us. Queen Mary House Day, heartfelt Valentine’s traditions with our brother school, and our community service initiatives highlighted the values of compassion, unity, and service that sit at the heart of the Collegiate family.
This newletter celebrates all the ways our girls showed love—in action, in effort, and in excellence. May these stories inspire us as we move forward with the same spirit of dedication and joy.

We celebrate our learners’ excellent matric results, a testament to hard work, determination and the unwavering support of our community. The holiday season was alive with sporting and cultural achievements, showcasing the passion and talent of Collegiate girls both on and off the field.
