Cell Phone Rules

Learners may bring cellular phones onto the School Premises and may use these before 7:40, during second break and after 14:20. No cellular phones may be switched on or visible except during these times.
Learners may not contact their parents via their cellular phones to ask them to fetch them when not feeling well or to ask them to bring items to school for them or for any other reason. Learners must follow the correct channels i.e. obtain permission from their Grade Head to go home early, then go to the Front Office where the Secretary will phone the parents and then sign out the girls. This is essential for the security of learners.
If a phone is visible/used or rings during formal assessments, the learner’s assessment could be declared null and void.
The School will not accept any responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, any learner’s cellular phone whilst at school, participating in sporting or cultural activities, or traveling to and from such activities.
