The GET curriculum for grades 8 and 9 

• English Home language
• Afrikaans First additional language or isiXhosa First additional language
• Mathematics
• Natural Sciences
• Economic Management Sciences
• Social Sciences
• Technology
• Creative Arts: Choice of two from Drama, Visual Arts and Music
• Life Orientation

In addition to this, learners choose between French Second additional language and isiXhosa Second additional language.

The FET curriculum for grades 10, 11 and 12 

• English (Home language)

• Mathematics OR Mathematical Literacy
• Life Orientation
• Three electives are chosen from the following:

1. Computer Applications Technology
2. Information Technology
3. Life Sciences
4. Geography
5. Physical Sciences
6. Accounting
7. French Second additional language
8. Consumer Studies
9. History
10. Music (NB. Music ONLY if the learner has completed Royal Schools/Trinity Grade 3 practical and theoretical components)
11. Dramatic Arts

• Girls may apply to take Dance Studies as an eighth subject
